Fuller Drive Residence, Goderich

This cottage sits sight on the cliff face of Lake Huron. It has great views but it also came with many restrictions. To save costs and time, the client chose to leave the existing foundations of the cottage and build from that footprint. This avoided a pile of paperwork, special permissions from Conservation Authorities, and added costs to the project. The house was to be very contemporary in style and space. With open living, great views to the lake and backyard pool, and practical spaces for work clothes, guest rooms, without compromising the tight budget and beautiful open spaces.  The house is 2000 sq.ft. with a half-finished basement. It is slated to be built in 2020. We are spending two years planning from site plan negotiations with the conservation authority to careful contractor selection for the contemporary look, and everything down to the furniture choices, for a perfect finished home!
