Modern Animal Barn
About
An aesthetically pleasing barn on a beautiful property near the forks of the Credit River. The barn can house 20 animals of varying types for the Owner’s enjoyment and consumption. The animals are intended to be pasture fed with access via a beautiful drystack wall ramp. The barn is sited in the bank where the original barn once stood. The barn design houses a clean room and milkhouse and is mechanically ventilated. the site set low in a valley didn’t allow for natural ventilation or direct south glazing. The barn faces southeast with a large transparent wall for daylighting in the summer and passive heating in the winter. This creates a pleasant environment for the animals and occupants. The modern minimal aesthetic is combined with the traditional red colour.
